1. The General Will on Federal Street (formerly “Firewaters”):

In partnership with the Mattress Factory museum, artist Glenn Loughran and their summer “Neighbo(u)rhood” exhibition, The Saxifrage School took over this vacant Pub space on Federal Street, across from PNC Park, and transformed it into a classroom.

In addition to being a nontraditional space for educational gatherings, The General Will was operated as the headquarters for The Saxifrage School.

This project provided a space for prototype and discussion on the possibilities of “higher” learning outside of the cathedral and ideas of academic sovereignty.
