Thursdays from 7:15 - 9:30: Starting in June
In this 12-week course, you will explore the theory and practice of web development. The purpose of this course is to be a broad, beginner-friendly introduction to web programming and developer culture. The goal is to de-mystify coding and empower students with the tools they need to continue learning on their own.
You will begin to engage with the hacker praxis and open-source web community so that you can continue to develop programming skills beyond the scope of this brief course. The theoretical side will engage with a number of important texts, and the practical side will focus on cooperative web development practice through hands-on workshops. The majority of the technical training will focus on learning to build pages with HTML/CSS/JS and host them on the web.
Our workshop instructor will hold additional workshop hours. Times and day tbd and by appointment. Attendance to workshop times is strongly recommended.
Our class will be hosted at Voluto Coffee on Penn Avenue.
$495 Total: $345 tuition, $100 admin, and $50 supplies. Class registration is limited to 12 people. Purchase your half-tuition ticket now and we'll bill for the rest later. Want to pay by check? Please write Tim at firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
